General Info
Sigma Nu Fraternity was founded in 1869 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia and has over 220 active chapters and colonies on college campuses throughout the United States and Canada. Since its founding, Sigma Nu has initiated over 225,000 members and continues to grow. The Kappa Chi chapter at Furman University was founded in 1985 and currently has over 60 active brothers. We pride ourself in involvement all over campus—TedX Furman, Relay for Life, Rugby, Care for Aids, Admissions Ambassadors, SGA, IFC, International Liaisons, Division 1 Athletics, and more.
In every chapter of Sigma Nu, the members try to inspire in each other the principals of love, truth, and honor while also fostering the personal growth of each man’s mind, heart, and character. Sigma Nu Fraternity allows for lifelong friendships to form and creates an opportunity for an everlasting commitment to something bigger than just ourselves; the Fraternity.
We share our brotherhood with the likes of Harrison Ford, Eli Manning, Paul Rudd, Tom Johnson, Bob Barker, Mike McCormack, Johnny Morris, and Charles Schwab.
